Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships is a fully funded master scholarship for international students.
The scholarship provides grants of € 8200 plus a tuition fee waiver per academic year. Flanders Scholarship 2024/25 sponsored by the Flemish Government is now open for online admission applications for students of all disciplines and degree levels.
This scholarship is a unique initiative established by the Flemish government to support young researchers in their quest for innovative knowledge.
The scholarship is open to anyone who meets the requirement of being an outstanding student either through their academic performance or participating in other activities that perform their potential.
Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships 2024
In Flanders and Brussels, the government of Flanders grants scholarships to outstanding candidates for master’s programs.
The program focuses on promoting Flander and Brussels as top destinations for study.
All universities in Flanders, schools of Arts, and the Antwerp Maritime Academy will accept applications. It is estimated that the Master’s Mind Scholarship 2024/25 can benefit 30 international students.
This could apply directly to students.

Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarship Coverage
Flander Masters Mind scholarship provides a lot of benefits and we will be listing out some of it:
A mastermind Scholarship gives a grant of € 8200 and a tuition fee waiver yearly (60 ECTS)
The scholar only pays an administrative enrollment fee.
The grant is paid in installments and covers accommodation costs, insurance, and a significant amount of their living expenses
Eligibility Criteria for Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships
To qualify for this scholarship one needs to fulfill the following:
The applicant must know how to communicate in the English language
An overall band score of a minimum of 7.0 on the IELTS test is needed
A minimum total score of 94 on a T0EFL test
A C1 level of the common European framework of reference is a need or a similar result in another official language test (recognized by the host institution)
Students who apply for a master’s program at a school of Art should have at least
An overall band score of a minimum of 6.5 on the IELTS test
A minimum total score of 90 on the TOEFL test
A B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference, or a similar result in another official English language (recognized by the host institution)
Eligible Countries: All World Countries
The applicant applies to take up a Master’s degree program at a higher education institution in Flanders (hereafter ‘Host institution’).
The applicant should have a high standard of academic performance and/or potential: The student has a Grade Point Average of 3.5 out of 4.0:
The Host institution also performs an academic check of the student’s file.
The student has to be accepted by the Host institution to be able to receive the scholarship.
Even if the Host institution’s decision to accept the student is taken after the selection of the Master Mind Scholarships program, this criterion applies.
All nationalities can apply. The previous degree obtained should be from a higher education institution located outside Flanders.
International students who have been on credit mobility in a hosting Flemish higher education institution are still eligible for a Master Mind Scholarship.
Students who are already enrolled in a Flemish higher education institution cannot apply.
The only exception is made for international students who, at the moment of their application in Spring 2024, are already enrolled in a specific preparatory program to start a master’s program in September 2023.
Student mobility during the master’s program is allowed. However, at least half of the credits of the master’s program must be obtained at the Flemish Host institution.
How to Apply for Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships
First, check if you are qualified to apply for the scholarship
If you are qualified for the scholarship, apply to the host institution you want to study in.
The host institution will accept the applicant, and you can start the application procedure for the mastermind scholarship by creating a candidate application file in the Mobility online tool
Next, you will receive an email generated by the mobility online tool notifying you of being pre-selected for a mastermind scholarship
You must register in the Mobility Online tool and complete your application file in the Mobility One tool before the scholarship deadline.
